As a Cloud engineer/System Administration Intern, you will work closely with MES team to support the management and maintenance of our applications and systems. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in system administration and understand the intricacies of maintaining a robust application infrastructure.

This position will be located in Sunnyvale, CA office. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Participate in release deployment of new features
• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of application software and system management tools.
• Create automated deployment tools for code deployments
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure smooth and efficient operation.
• Help in maintaining and updating system documentation and procedures
• Provide technical support to end-users and resolve application-related issues
• Assist in monitoring system logs and identifying potential issues

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of system administration and application infrastructure.
• Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows, Linux, or macOS.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals and common protocols.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and processes.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to tasks.

The hourly range for this role is $28.00-30.00. This is the rate that we in good faith believe is the rate of compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
