We are looking to add an energetic and self-motivated Cloud Database Engineer to our high performing global team of Database Engineering Experts. This role involves architecting, implementing and supporting technological solutions within technology like Oracle/PostgreSQL environment for revenue generating applications that drive the TR business. The candidate should have strong technical, excellent communication and collaboration skills to work efficiently with the database team(s).
About the Role
In this opportunity as Cloud Database Engineer, you will:

  • Manage Oracle and PostgreSQL databases hosted in AWS EC2 and RDS Aurora.

  • Manage Oracle databases hosted on OCI.

  • Automate end to end lifecycle of database including provisioning, upgrades, monitoring etc.

  • Ensure security and availability of the databases deployed in AWS and OCI.

  • Migration automation to Cloud.

  • Maintain infra-as-code and deployment through CI/CD pipeline.


About You
You're a fit for the role of Cloud Database Engineer if your background includes:

  • Bachelor's Degree - Computer Science, technical or engineering degree preferred.

  • 3-6 years’ experience including providing support for mission critical production databases, developing database Engineering Services for PostgreSQL Databases on AWS

  • Deep knowledge and experience with AWS RDS PostgreSQL

  • Experience in cloud security services such as IAM Policies, Secret management and KMS.

  • Hands on with services such as Lambda, Systems Manager, CloudWatch & SAM

  • Database Infra Automation using CloudFormation, Python and GitHub

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines in AWS.

  • Ability to troubleshoot database-related Oracle and PostgreSQL performance issues on AWS.

  • Good to have experience in Migration tools such as HVR, DMS and SCT
