About the role

We are seeking a Cloud backend developer to help create and build a cutting-edge cloud platform. The position is required to lead and be a part of the design and development of the Harman Cloud based platform. The key performance indicator for this role would be to enhance the platform in alignment with the industry standards.  This individual will have solid backed and cloud development/technical experience including developing with modern devops methods.

What you will Do

  • Design and implement a cloud management platform that provides provisioning, automation, visibility, optimization capabilities in a multi-cloud environment.
  • Write Code & perform code reviews, design reviews and technically guide the team for cloud development.
  • Work with our architecture team to define the architecture/design and to ensure they are consistent with Cloud best practices and are reasonable to implement from a technical perspective.
  • Excellent experience developing backend services (including APIs, microservices, DB interactions, logging, etc.) using Java programming language.
  • Design workflows that manage various aspects of cloud-based resource provisioning.

 

What you Need

  • Expertise in Nodejs, APIs, serverless code, database interactions, microservices.
  • Experience building & deploying with one of the workflow tools like Pentaho, Apache Airflow or other.
  • Strong experience in AWS technologies including IAM, CloudFormation, Secrets Manager, API gateway, RDS, EC2, Lambda.
  • Ability to read, understand & update existing source code.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in DevOps toolset including git, Gerrit, JIRA, Confluence, Agile methodologies.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Technology, Engineering, or Computer Science
  • 6+ years of relevant experience, and at least 3+ years experience in Developing Cloud based platforms.
  • Must have been part of a large global scale production-grade implementation and deployments.
  • Experience in programming with Python and scripting like PowerShell is a plus.
  • At least 3 years experience in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) and udnerstanding of Virtualization, Docker, Container orchestration (Kubernetes/openshift), SOA, Microservices.
  • Understanding and implementing various authentication & authorization methods including SAML, SSO, OAUTH, AD integration, AWS IAM, AWS Secrets Manager, Cognito.
  • A passion for innovation, learning new technologies and concepts.
