Leidos is searching for a highly motivated Cloud Architect to provide technical direction on a Cloud Modernization program for a new USDA customer. The Cloud Architect must have a background in successfully collaborating with a variety of customers and stakeholders. The candidate must demonstrate breadth and depth in cloud technologies and environments, including multi-cloud. The candidate will provide leadership to invigorate technical innovation and must be willing to drive smart change to support a collaborative and innovative culture to ensure reliable, secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud solutions.
Primary Responsibilities:

Collaborate with USDA Digital Infrastructure Services Center customer to develop Cloud Architecture, Strategy, and Operations Solutions.

Design, implement and manage modern, integrated cloud/hybrid cloud platforms that are future-proof and aligned with customer’s performance/mission objectives.

Design and implement large-scale, complex systems that integrate cloud and on-premises platforms including storage, compute, and throughput.

Ensure solutions meet performance, security, compliance standards, and industry best practices.

Manage and identify technical risks and opportunities, resolution and verification of effectiveness of corrective actions.

Support technical proposal response as needed.

Act as the senior most technical resource on the program.

Engage and build relationships with senior USDA technical resources.

Basic Qualifications:

Must possess a minimum of one of the following Active Cloud Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Professional Cloud Architect

Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance

BA/BS degree in related field with 12+ years of relevant experience

8 + years of experience serving as a Cloud Architect leading a large technical team of various labor categories and skills

AWS Government and Commercial Experience

Microsoft Azure Government and Commercial Experience

Google Cloud Platform Experience
-
Platform as a Service (PaaS) Experience

Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) Experience

DevSecOps Experience
-
Extensive knowledge of cloud security, compliance, and governance
Preferred Qualifications:

Cloud-native technologies (containers, Kubernetes, serverless computing)

Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and cloud management practices

Enterprise Data Management, Integration and Analytics

Master's Degree in related field

Pay Range:Pay Range $126,100.00 - $227,950.00
