Job Description
SS&C Technologies Inc. provides innovative and secure cloud solutions tailored to our clients and internal teams. We are building a private cloud to offer a robust alternative to public cloud services like AWS and Azure, ensuring enhanced control, security, and performance.
As a Cloud Platform Architect for our private cloud implementation, you will work with a team of experienced engineers to enhance the current offering and assist in the design, development, and deployment of a customer-facing solution. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud architecture, orchestration, and the integration of front-end and back-end technologies.
Responsibilities
- Architectural Leadership: Guide the architectural design and implementation of a cloud platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
- Technical Strategy: Work with others to develop and maintain the technical strategy and roadmap for the cloud, aligning with business goals and user needs.
- Integration: Oversee the integration of the internal UI/orchestration layer, utilizing Angular for the front-end and Spring Java for the back-end.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of the private cloud.
- Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize the performance, scalability, and reliability of the private cloud platform.
- Security: Implement robust security measures to protect data and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, including design specifications, diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior architects and engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in cloud architecture, with a focus on private cloud solutions.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in cloud technologies and platforms (e.g., OpenStack, VMware, Kubernetes).
- Strong experience with Angular and Spring Java.
- Knowledge of networking, storage, and virtualization technologies.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD, automation).
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Leadership and project management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with hybrid cloud environments.
- Certifications in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Architect).
