Cloud Architect (m/f/d)

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Architect to join our Global IT Operations team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing secure hybrid cloud infrastructures to support the cloud transformation of development pipelines and production environments, ensuring seamless network and security integration of data centers and cloud environments, efficient operations and optimal performance across hybrid cloud platforms.
Your tasks:

  • Design and supervise the implementation of secure, scalable, and resilient cloud architectures across on-premise data centers, AWS, and Microsoft Azure environments

  • Collaborate with internal development teams, DevOps teams, and the broader IT Operations teams to support the cloud transformation of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and of production environments

  • Develop and maintain resource consumption models, catalogues, templates and standards for secure, effective and efficient cloud operations

  • Develop and maintain FinOps practices to ensure financial accountability and efficiency in cloud spending and overall spending.

  • Enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices for hybrid cloud environments developed in compliance with healthcare industry regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR) in all cloud operations

  • Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure performance, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery capabilities

  • Support the organization’s cloud transformation initiatives, driving the adoption of cloud technologies and best practices

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members on cloud architecture, cost management, and best practices

  • Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and trends, recommending improvements and innovations

Your profile:

Education:

Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science or other education (e.g., IT specialist / systems integration) with experience in public cloud architecture (AWS and Azure)

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud architecture, with a focus on hybrid cloud environments

  • Experience in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab)

  • Experience in cloud cost management and FinOps practices, with a proven track record of optimizing cloud spending

  • Willingness to tackle complex and challenging projects

  • Ability to work in a team

  • Good English language skills (written and verbal)

Specific Skills:

  • Strong expertise in AWS and Microsoft Azure, including relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solution Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solution Architect)

  • Networking expertise

  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR) and security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27k)
