Job Summary:
The Cloud Architect Lead at Encora is responsible for managing and driving the delivery, coordination, and implementation of Azure cloud solutions. This pivotal role requires collaboration across Beazley, development teams, and SRE teams, focusing on building resilient, secure, and scalable cloud architectures. The Cloud Architect Lead will leverage Azure best practices to enhance cloud infrastructure and strategy, enabling cost-effective and optimized performance in alignment with business objectives. -
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Act as the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) Lead for transitions, overseeing Statements of Work (SoW) and project kickoffs, ensuring alignment with project schedules and standards.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Azure cloud strategy that aligns with the organization's objectives and forward-looking vision.
- Design Azure-based cloud solutions that prioritize resilience, scalability, and security, and that meet or exceed industry standards.
- Manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for efficient provisioning, resource management, and deployment in Azure.
- Establish and enforce rigorous security protocols, focusing on identity management and compliance adherence.
- Continuously monitor and optimize Azure infrastructure to ensure cost-efficiency and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide expert guidance on Azure-related initiatives.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of technology components, promoting best practices and shared methodologies across projects.
- Ensure strict adherence to project standards, mitigate any deviations from project plans, and champion best practices within cloud architecture.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience with Azure architecture, including in-depth knowledge of cloud strategies and implementation.
- Strong project management and leadership skills, particularly within cloud environments.
- Expertise in Azure services, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, and cloud security best practices.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.

- Experience leading cloud transition initiatives and serving as the main point of contact for cloud architecture projects.
- Ability to create scalable and secure Azure cloud environments aligned with organizational needs.
