What will you be doing in this role:
- Application Assessment and Analysis: Conduct technical analysis of applications to be migrated, gather requirements and priorities, and contribute to Application Assessment Reports.
- Technical Planning and Execution: Advise on migration options and cloud deployment strategies, support planning, execution, and automation, and assist engineers and developers in executing migration plans.
- Testing and Validation: Guide teams in post-migration testing, ensuring applications meet SLAs and performance benchmarks while addressing any issues identified.
- Data Migration and Integrity: Oversee secure and compliant application data migration, ensuring validation and reconciliation post-migration.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure applications adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements throughout the migration process.
- Communication, Collaboration, and Coordination: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth migrations and provide regular updates on progress, risks, and issues.
What do you need to succeed in this position?
- Proven experience in planning and executing cloud migrations for services and applications.
- Strong background in application analysis, including dependency and requirement assessment.
- Hands-on expertise with Azure and AWS cloud platforms.
- Experience with DevSecOps practices and tools such as Azure DevOps, GitLab, and Jenkins.
- Proficiency in automated deployments using Terraform, Ansible, Azure ARM, and AWS CloudFormation.
- Solid knowledge of containerization and deployment using Kubernetes and Helm charts.
- Familiarity with Java and .NET programming languages.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex migration challenges.
- Experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum planning and execution.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken, for professional communication.
