TEAM

In Enterprise Technology, we build solutions to boost automotive software developer productivity. In automotive, built artifacts are deployed to multiple targets including cloud, mobile devices, and vehicles. There are also different vehicle security certification requirements, multiple types of testing and simulation. Instead of having developers set up and customize CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments, we aim to automate as much as possible.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Cloud and Development Tool Engineer with a background in infrastructure and DevOps area to ensure that our services and infrastructure are designed and implemented to the highest standards. You need to be knowledgeable and passionate about secure technology infrastructure, automation, and continuous improvement based on data.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Architect public cloud environments for multiple engineering teams using Infrastructure-as-Code tools with industry best practices
• Improve current codebase and deployment pipeline
• Support the engineering team with infrastructure issues and needs in areas of data storage and compute performance
• Use tools to monitor and govern the cloud infrastructure and cost and propose solutions to improve both
• Work with the SRE team to maintain and upgrade infrastructure with least downtime and perform performance tuning and optimization across the CI/CD stack
• Work with engineering team, Customer Success Engineers, and Product Owners to understand customers pain points and provide best solution for vehicle software development
• Mentor and support junior members, while reporting to the manager in charge of cloud tools.
• Come to the office 3 times per week per our hybrid work policy.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience
• 3+ years writing code in Python, Go, Java, JavaScript, Shell or a similar language using AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Experience managing cloud environments and tools like GitHub and Artifactory, with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines
• Interest in platform engineering (and SRE) topics like automation, application/platform management, performance assessment, and similar topics
• Experience using Japanese to communicate with corporate customers in a Japanese language environment
• Written and spoken English

NICE TO HAVES:

• Experience in data structures, algorithms, and software design
• Have hands-on experience with Cloud Native tools, Kubernetes, container, or Infrastructure as Code
• Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and incident management
• Previous experience in an SRE or Platform Engineering role
• AWS Advanced Networking/ AWS Security/ DevOps / Solution Architect Professional Certifications
