Role Summary: This position uses data, insights, effective presentations, and data storytelling to support our clients and their day-to-day questions, as well as delivering the right insights to help them leverage Advantage data to the fullest. You will be their go-to person to answer data-related questions and a key link between clients and Advantage. You will also support Client Service Directors and the SVP / Managing Director US in growing the business with current and new clients.
Who We’re Seeking: The successful candidate will have a proven track record in an analytic client-facing role. Experience and comfort interacting with clients and internal stakeholders

  • Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Active listening with an acute attention to detail
  • Robust quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
  • Strong business acumen
  • Presentation development/story building skills
  • Creative / data visualization capabilities
  • Experience with Tableau or other BI tools
  • Advanced level of experience with Excel (i.e., VLOOKUP’s and Pivot Tables)
  • Ability to work with a great sense of urgency without compromising quality, maintaining high standards
  • Ability to be proactive and implement ways to efficiently create value for clients
  • An eagerness to further develop your career through direct client interaction
  • A customer-centric focus
  • Effective project management skills – ability to see a project through from ideation to fruition
  • The ability to multi-task, supporting multiple clients simultaneously as needed
  • Nice to have: Familiarity with survey tools such as Qualtrics or Survey Monkey


Reporting Relationship: This role reports to the Director, Client Research.
Who We’re Seeking to Join Our Team:
You will also help push the envelope in how we present our research, by telling the most relevant data-led stories to our clients that connect to their strategies and business needs, and fosters action orientation.
Responsibilities

  • Work with the team in servicing client relationships to build trust by focusing on what matters to them, communicating effectively, proactively helping them, and responding with a great sense of urgency and accuracy against their day-to-day needs
  • Understand the client’s strategies, evolution, and questions and “translate” those needs for the right people and teams and gather the answers needed
  • Play a key role in maintaining the client data base, category profiles, competitive and regional benchmarks.
  • Collaborates with the Client Service and Operations teams to ensure the delivery of insightful reports that are closely aligned with Supplier and Retailer business needs, to the agreed schedule.
  • Effectively identify the story behind the data to clearly communicate client and industry insights findings.
  • Assist with internal or external presentation of insights where required
  • Support the Market Leader in servicing client relationships within assigned Retail and Supplier accounts to build trust through focus on what matters to them, communicating effectively, proactively helping them, and responding with a great sense of urgency and accuracy for their day-to-day needs
  • Get close to the Advantage business model and methodology and work closely with other analysts to map out the story of a client’s performance and support building client deliveries to play back our findings through shared learnings and presentations
  • Support dialogue with the U.S. Client Service Team to increase their understanding of the national clients and improve our knowledge of what is happening locally.
  • Assist in the development of annual business plans.
  • Work closely with the Market Leader by providing key insights affecting business to business engagement to support strategic Business Development initiatives


Where You’ll be Located: This role is home-office based, working remotely from home. Access to high-speed internet is necessary. You must be comfortable working remotely with a data-led focus.
Expected Travel:

  1. Occasionally meeting with clients within country or region
  2. Occasionally Toronto Corporate Office
