ABOUT THE TEAM

We are looking for a highly motivated Network Engineer to join the ranks of the Anduril Industries Network team. Your primary focus will be working and supporting Anduril's Mission Systems Infrastructure and Classified Product deployments, providing direct support to unclassified networks and classified networks for various government customers. 

ABOUT THE JOB

Anduril employs a variety of networks and networking infrastructures to support global operations. You'll be collaborating with other Network team members, Mission Assurance leads, and Product deployment teams which directly support business lines that wish to deploy Anduril products in classified environments. The Network Engineer will help design, build, and maintain classified networks solutions necessary to enable program personnel to meet contract deliverables. You'll also be responsible for providing clear and concise documentation to assist with training remote non-network technical staff for routine task such as device configuration and basic troubleshooting. Travel is an integral part of this role, and will be based on individual Customer needs. 40%+ to be expected.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Design and implement new network solutions and/or improve the efficiency of current networks.
  • Work with product engineering teams to design, document, and deploy network requirements, product team network.
  • Travel to remote site locations to evaluate requirements and perform network hardware installs and upgrades.
  • Install, configure, and support network equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, proxy servers to ensure highly available network operations.
  • Solve complex technical problems with little supervision and escalate when appropriate.
  • Implement and maintain multi-site VPN connectivity solutions for connecting between remote sites, classified cloud environments.
  • Procure network equipment and managing subcontractors involved with network installations.
  • Routinely audit security policies and protocols for routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Provide regular on-call support of the network.
  • Update and manage documentation of the network topology, infrastructure services, cabling diagrams, IP address allocations, IP routing/switching, etc.
  • Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Arrange scheduled upgrades.
  • Investigating faults in the network.
  • Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases.
  • Reporting network status to key stakeholders.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5-7 years' experience designing, implementing, managing, and supporting enterprise level IP networks.
  • The network engineer must have strong communication skills to engage with stakeholders, extract, technical and business requirements, and translate them into actionable network solutions. This includes active listening, clear documentation, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to balance technical feasibility with business objectives. 
  • Excellent troubleshooting experience.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently, prioritize and get things done.
  • Experience with COMSEC and HAIPE encryptors.
  • Extensive experience with vendor agnostic network switching and routing.
  • Extensive experience with stateful firewalls, stateless ACLs, taps/SPAN, and IDS/IPS.
  • Extensive technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and Internet standards, including routers, switches (layer 2/3), firewalls, remote access, DNS, BGP, OSPF, VLAN, VRF, QoS, and VPN.
  • Significant experience with Palo Alto Networks hardware ecosystem.
  • Familiarity with host-based networking configurations (Windows, Linux).
  • Working knowledge of DISA security STIGs and maintaining security best practices.
  • Extensive application support experience with network monitoring and analysis software.
  • Experience with network automation tools and processes.
  • Competence with testing tools and procedures for voice and data circuits.
  • Experience with a ticketing systems and managing a ticket queue.
  • Passion for technology and teamwork focused attitude with an ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills - both written and verbal.
  • Ability to travel up to 40% for remote deployments when required.
  • Support weekly On-call rotation.
  • Currently possesses and is able to maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with US Government classified networks.
  • Networking certifications (CCNP, CCIE, PCNSA, etc.).
  • Experience with Bash and not less than 1 additional scripting language.

US Salary Range

$150,000$225,000 USD

 

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
