Our Bathgate facility has an opening for a Continuous Improvement Leader to join their team.  Reporting to the General Manager you will be the dedicated resource responsible for operational transformation through the use of Lean Six Sigma and other advanced problem-solving tools.

With nearly 25 years of experience, our Bathgate location in Scotland, UK is an integral part of Catalent’s European clinical supply services network. This 141,000 sq. ft. facility has a comprehensive range of capabilities to support sponsors’ studies throughout the UK, Europe and beyond, including clinical supply management, FastChain® demand-led supply, clinical-scale commercial packaging, and QP release services.

The Role

  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities throughout the organisation by routinely studying the GEMBA, reviewing site metrics, gathering Voice of the Customer data, etc.

  • Prioritise and select projects that leverage LEAN six sigma tools to drive improvements through the hierarchy of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost (S,Q,D,C)

  • Lead and /or support Operational Excellence projects that positively affect the business results of the site (S, Q, D, C, and Productivity).

  • Engage teams to help establish a Continuous Improvement culture and execute advanced problem-solving activities.

  • Assist process-owners to champion projects through PDCA life-cycle from identification to sustain.  Conducts regular process confirmations on implemented changes to ensure sustainability

  • Design, develop, and deliver site-appropriate LEAN Six Sigma training.

Candidate Requirements

  • Degree in an appropriate discipline (Scientific, Engineering, Management).

  • Proven experience in a CI Leadership role

  • Experience of working in a manufacturing with Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP) conditions

  • Minimum Green Belt, Black Belt preferred

  • Right first time ethos

  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills are required for this position.

  • Must have experience in using a range of computers systems,

  • Must be flexible to working different working hours and be available for overtime as required to meet customer demands.
