About the Role

We are seeking a highly strategic, results-driven, and ambitious leader to join our team as Chief of Staff. This role will act as a trusted advisor to the CEO, manage day-to-day operations, strategic plans,  cross-functional alignment across manufacturing, customer engagement, business development and team building. The ideal candidate is a blend of strategist, operator, and team builder, with a proven ability to scale operations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Roles and responsibilities

• Advising: Providing strategic advice and counsel to the CEO and other senior leaders

• Oversee day-to-day operations: Work with engineering to ensure that operations are efficient and effective 

• Customer and Business Development: Build and manage early customer relationships and work on growing the GTM team.

• Develop and implement strategic plans: Work with the CEO and other executives to develop strategies that align with the company's goals 

• Manage teams: Build and manage teams across various functions, such as finance, marketing, HR, and operations 

• Manage financial management: Ensure that the company is operating within an early stage start up constraints and support fundraising efforts

• Identify and mitigate risks: Develop and implement risk management strategies 

• Build competitive advantage: Think about how to build competitive advantage through operational excellence

Qualifications and Skills

Required: 

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.

• Experience leading functions like operations, finance, talent in other early stage startups 

• Experience directing and organizing multiple departments and teams

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• The ability to complete tasks independently, efficiently and effectively

• Experience leading and planning strategic initiatives

• Familiarity with energy, hydrogen or similar markets.

Preferred: 

• Master's degree in Operations Management, Business or a related field.

• Experience with lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and statistical process control.
