Chief Accountant

from 3000 €/month gross - Final compensation aligns with experience

 What you will do:  

• Overseeing current changes in accounting legislation and regulations, ensuring compliance of accounting accounting operations with the standards applicable to Slovak accounting and corporate taxes.
• Checking compliance with internal directives and contributing to their development.
• Responsibility for monthly closures and production of monthly, quarterly and annual reports in in accordance with Group requirements, local GAAP and IFRS.
• Monitoring and analyzing financial results, identifying and providing reasons for fluctuations and deviations.
• Monitoring the status of receivables, payables, general ledger, group transactions and assets.
• Evaluating the accounting transactions and accuracy of your team's cost accounting
• Processing more complex accounting transactions (e.g., property, payroll, closing transactions, etc.)
• Producing statistical reports for the company (Intrastat - EN, statistics - monthly, quarterly, annual).
• Preparation and maintenance of documents and records for internal and external audits.
• Working with internal and external auditors, ensuring they have the correct documentation in collaboration with the team.
• Participating in the development of the company's annual budget and ensures compliance.
• Preparing VAT returns (SK, CZ).
• Cooperation with control and tax authorities.
• Covering the work of the external accounting and payroll company.
• Manages routine administration (e.g. travel allowances, meal allowances...).
• Suggesting process improvements to optimize costs and ongoing business monitoring plans.
• Ensuring compliance with local and international laws and regulations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
