Do you have a strong work ethic and the willingness to learn the pipeline operations? We have a great opportunity for you this summer where you will gain both field and office experience. You will work with a team of engineers and pipelines specialists on a new pipeline construction project.
Minimum Requirements:

Student in a Bachelor of Engineering program (Mechanical / Chemical / Civil / Industrial / Petroleum) with at least 1.5 years of completed studies

Must be enrolled in an accredited academic institution and returning to school full time after the internship: Please upload your most recent transcript to your profile

Good computer skills (Microsoft Office, especially Excel)

A valid driver’s license with a driving record acceptable to Suncor

Must be legally authorized to work in the USA for the duration of your employment
Responsibilities:

Participate in the technical evaluation and the development of improvement projects
-
Advance mechanical and interdisciplinary projects to completion
-
Directly support both integrity and engineering departments with project implementation

Implement project steps from initial idea, through design, planning, construction, and project closure

Determine, develop, and present solutions to identified problems

Provide technical support to integrity, engineering, reliability, groups
Location and other Key Details:

This is a 3 month work term starting in May (June) 2025

You will work out of Cheyenne District Office, 1700 Cutler Rd, Cheyenne, Wyoming

Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs

The work will be approximately 70% in the office, and 30% in the field

This role is safety sensitive, and has been identified as a Department of Transportation (DOT) Position

Hourly Rate and Compensation Details:

Hourly rates are determined by semesters/ academic terms and internships completed: $21.43/hr to $23.75/hr
