About the role

Semgrep is leveraging its early success with its Channel ecosystem and strategically investing to scale partner-sourced and partner-closed business. We're seeking a true "builder" to join our Partnerships team, someone with proven experience collaborating with internal stakeholders to integrate Semgrep into strategic joint go-to-market activations. This role involves building and executing sales strategies with partners and evolving partnerships from ad-hoc to consistent revenue contributors.  You’ll be reporting directly to the VP of WW Sales

We are looking for a Regional Channel Manager who can build from the ground up and execute in the field partner reps. You bring hustle, grit, and creativity to solving problems and scaling solutions. You will play a crucial role in building a key growth engine for the company to continue scaling rapidly. Location expectations:

  • Our expectation is that this role will be fully remote, however, there is the expectation that you will visit partner reps in the field and at partner offices. West Coast proximity is preferred 

Prior experience in a fast-paced, tech environment in the security or DevOps space is greatly appreciated, and you have relationships with cybersecurity value-added resellers, then this is the role for you.

What you’ll do

  • Expand Semgrep’s business opportunities with current VAR/Reseller partners
  • Identify and develop new VAR/Reseller partnerships for Semgrep.
  • Increase deal registrations and partner influenced deals
  • Conduct regular business reviews with partners to assess progress, identify challenges, and implement action plans.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, competitive intelligence, and emerging cybersecurity threats to position our solutions effectively.
  • Work closely with the direct sales team to coordinate partner-led opportunities and ensure seamless deal execution.
  • Drive engagement, attendance, and enablement at customer and partner events.
  • Exhibit high energy, drive, and determination to build a world-class growth engine through partnerships.
  • You’ll be reporting directly to the VP of WW Sales

You are ideal for this role if:

  • 5+ years of Channel Sales experience
  • Success in working with customers and security partners in various sales roles at fast-growing startups
  • Track record of success for 3-4 stints in your career
  • Highly organized and proficient in creating and managing decks, data, and documents
  • Ability to travel as needed, up to 50%.
  • Experienced in developing business plans and rigorously tracking KPIs with partners
  • Skilled in building and scaling partner ecosystems from the ground up
  • A versatile player-coach, adept at both hands-on Channel Sales and strategic planning

Compensation

  • Salary Range: $117,000 - $131,000* USD ($164,000 - $183,000 uncapped OTE)
  • Our compensation package includes equity and benefits in addition to salary.
