The Certification Operations Specialist will design, develop, and evaluate certification exams, working with SMEs and internal stakeholders to ensure industry standards and quality. Responsibilities include exam development, question design, beta testing, customer support, and program assessment.

As a Certification Operations Specialist, you will drive, organize, and maintain key processes to support the InterSystems Certification program.  To do this you will collaborate with your team members while following internal quality processes to ensure secure exam delivery and certification management for candidates. You will interface with our customers to provide support and resolve issues regarding our exams and certifications. Additionally, you will write questions for low-stake assessments withing learning services.


You will be a key part of a team dedicated to certifying InterSystems customers and partners. As such, you should be comfortable with the software industry, including its processes and terminology, and be able to confidently communicate with our customers about our learning and certification options. 



Responsibilities

  • Oversee all operations concerning certification exams, including application and request processing, eligibility, testing accommodation determinations, recertification process/audit.
  • Coordinate and support multiple exam development projects with exam developers.
  • Facilitate SME meetings
  • Load and organize content in exam delivery system
  • Handle billing/voucher issues
  • Provide support to candidates, pre and post exam
  • Produce and analyze certification reports with team
  • Update retake support app for new exams
  • Prepare interactive practice quizzes in totara
  • Prepare content to support certification marketing communications
  • Assist in the design and maintenance of certification website
  • Work with team to ensure exam and certification program uptake and evolution
  • Periodically assess the success of the certification effort using reports and make recommendations for improvement
  • Manage digital badging program.



Qualifications

  • 1-3 years coordinating processes inside training or learning initiatives
  • Experience documenting processes for compliance
  • Ability to produce marketing text and graphics for global customer base
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new concepts quickly, act as a team player and adapt to change and growth needs
  • Excellent data organization and presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience working in the software industry is a plus
  • Experience working with certification exams is a plus
  • Experience working with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) is a plus
  • Experience in the learning industry as a trainer or courseware developer is a plus



Education and Training

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Education/Experience in the learning industry is a plus
