The Central Logistics Tech will ensure the availability of patient supplies and equipment needed to provide efficient patient care throughout the Kaweah Health's nursing areas.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential
Inputs data into computer for tracking and recordkeeping. Provides reports as required by procedure.
Issues equipment according to procedure.
Restocks equipment and supplies.
Issues trays as requested. Retrieves all trays when the units are finished with them. Follows all procedures.
Prepares and issues all products in good condition, packaging materials are intact and all items are clean. Checks expiration dates. Understands and follows all infection control policies and procedures.
Inventories all supply carts, reorganizing the supplies on the carts daily, for efficiency of the users. All paperwork completed according to procedure.
Cleans equipment according to manufacturer recommendation. Makes sure equipment is functioning properly.
Assists Warehouse with "picking" of supplies. Picks and packs supplies for efficiency of restocking for prevention of damage to products. Communicates information on additional needs of our customers to Management or Shift leader.
Participates in working the issue counter. Logs all requests according to procedures. Orders supplies from Warehouse. Maintains par levels. Changes the papers in phone logs daily.
Performs hourly pharmacy runs between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 18:30 p.m., and one additional pharmacy run at 23:30 p.m. Pharmacy runs will consist of the delivery of, and be limited to, the delivery of patient-specific prescriptions that are appropriately labeled and packaged by pharmacy staff, and which can not be delivered via the hospital's tube system to the appropriate nursing unit in accordance with Kaweah Health and departmental policies.
Distributes IV solutions to nursing units. Inventories supply of solution on the unit, restocks needed solutions. Checks charge label and name of solution for correct labeling. Accurately documents IV solutions that leave Kaweah Health premises to off-site campuses.
Participates in inventory. Counts inventory or cover in other areas as needed. Helps with preparation by the department for inventory.
Participates in "computer downtime" procedures.
Participates in monthly record keeping. Filing is neat and records are in good condition. Produces records as required.
Additional
Acts as designated shift leader as assigned. Organizes work. Checks completed jobs.
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and services appropriate to the population served on the assigned unit or work area.
Performs other duties as assigned.

$20.00 -$30.00
