DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Design and develop models to drive impactful decisions for the Auto Lending business throughout the customer lifecycle, including acquisition, pricing, collection, and recovery. Apply quantitative, data science, machine learning and analytical skills to complex problems. Collaborate with various stakeholders throughout the entire model development process, to find actionable solutions used in production environments. Create and maintain databases used for analytics, model development and reporting. Work with internal and third-party data, to evaluate new inputs used to identify trends and credit profiles. Responsible for model development, including data evaluation, model selection and testing. Apply the latest machine learning model explain ability techniques and methodologies to communicate results to business partners and customers. Act as a subject matter expert and mentor junior analysts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Ph.D. degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, or related field of study plus 1 year of experience in the job offered or as Risk Program Associate, Model Development Associate/Specialist, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Risk Program Associate, Model Development Associate/Specialist, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires 1 year of experience with the following: Quantitative data management and analytics including data extraction, cleaning, transformation, and visualization from internal and third-party data sources; and analytical and modeling methods including logistic regression, multinomial regression, and multivariate analysis. Requires experience with the following: Experiment design and simulations for quantitative analysis; Pricing strategy and P&L forecasting; Machine Learning including supervised and unsupervised models and model explainability methodologies (such as SHAP); and model implementation and optimization.
