JOB PURPOSE
Provide support to the Procurement Operations manager and Team. Take responsibility for European Ice Cream Operational activities to ensure a smooth supply of materials into the co-manufacturers. In the current challenging times, the Procurement Operations teams in Europe have played a crucial role in continuation of the business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
You will play a vital role – together with 2 colleagues – in troubleshooting in all different aspects of our European IC Operations. You make sure all of our ice cream co-manufacturers and factories get their raw materials in time and of the highest quality. Any issue that pops up is a new puzzle for you to solve. You coordinate with all relevant internal and external stakeholders and make sure all know what to do in order to solve the issue. In addition you support the colleagues in service- and quality improvement projects with our main suppliers.
Next to that you support in various projects like:

Brexit activities – provide availability of data which is required due to the new Brexit regulations for raw materials sourced by the procurement portfolio teams

Resilience – support the European resilience program for raw and packaging materials used in our co-manufacturers

Support the Procurement Operations Manager in strategic collaboration with key suppliers to drive long term resilience and supply security
-
Support the procurement organization to meet goals and objectives in support to the overall Unilever strategy.

Build a solid network within the company and with the main suppliers of materials.

Collaborate with procurement manager on troubleshooting in all different aspects of our European IC Operations.

Think innovatively to turn issues/crises into opportunities for supply chain improvement, i.e. long term problem solving.

Able to quickly build knowledge on various buying portfolios to take decisions on how to solve problems. Take that extra step to safeguard Unilever’s production.

Contribute to short and long term service and quality improvement projects together with suppliers.

Support contingency and resilience activities; identify and follow up on opportunities to add flexibility to the supply chain.

Support Quality Reviews and strategic improvement programs with suppliers together with Product Group Quality.

Able to coordinate financial claims raised at suppliers and have discussions with loss adjusters

EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS:
