Your challenges:
- Manage assigned material categories in alignment with other material categories and with overarching procurement strategy (analyze and classify spend and suppliers)
- Supplier Management in alignment with the material category strategy regarding quality, cost, R&D and logistics
- Identify and implement optimization levers and report progress
- Coordinate, implement and evaluate tender
- Qualify, develop and consolidate suppliers
- Continuously review the innovation portfolio of strategic suppliers
- Conduct yearly business reviews and yearly contract management
- Lead supplier negotiations, evaluations and audits
Your expertise:
- Degree in business / business engineering / mechanical engineering / chemistry / physics or similar
- Profound experience in international procurement / supply chain management or development
- Profound knowledge in procurement and logistics
- Profound experience in category management in the context of a high tech manufacturing corporation
- Strong technical understanding, ideally in electronics, polymers or mechanical processing
- Work experience in project management, ideally in agile development
- Analytical skills paired with a structured working method
- Strong communication skills and proficient appearance
- Willingness to travel to internal and external stakeholders paired with intercultural competencies
- Ability to clearly communicate complex matters to internal and external top management
- Good knowledge of MS Office and SAP
- Business fluent in English
- Global procurement experience is an advantage
