About Vumedi:
Vumedi is a video education platform for doctors. The platform is organized around specialties, providing doctors with relevant education in their specific community. Vumedi is a content marketplace with over 10,000 content creators who post videos, and 500,000 doctors who watch videos. We are looking for a Category Manager skilled at driving engagement, and partnering with our existing medical content team that drives the supply of content within a set of defined medical specialties. As growing supply and demand are intertwined, each category manager will be responsible for growing their specialties holistically.
This is a newly formed team that is growing. You will need to develop a deep understanding of how and why physicians within the specialties you manage use Vumedi. You will need to learn Vumedi’s marketing levers and use that understanding to drive growth with your specialties through higher return and retention rates.
Vumedi is a software platform that has grown organically, with minimal marketing budget. In this role, you will be partnering closely with our product team to drive product led growth and help kickstart new growth channels. We are open to this role being based in Oakland, Minneapolis, or the NYC metro area.
What you'll do:
- Set short and long term business goals for each of Vumedi’s specialties and lead cross functional teams in execution
- Build and execute playbooks for driving engagement in Vumedi communities at different stages of their development, from newly launched to mature.
- Manage around complex seasonality in different specialties based on conference seasons, content influxes and other external factors
- Guide measurement and reporting on an ongoing basis, ensuring the development and execution of a robust measurement framework that provides clear and actionable recommendations
- Identify new marketing channels to augment Vumedi’s current capabilities
- Partner with product and engineering teams to develop product features and tactics to increase engagement.
About you / Qualifications:
- You have over 5 years of experience in consumer marketing, with a track record of driving growth in measurable KPIs. Experience in Healthcare or Pharma Marketing a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field. MBA a plus
- Experience with owned and earned channels (email, SEO)
- You have experience building and managing new teams, and defining new functions
- You’re extremely analytical, willing to dig deep into data to understand business problems and solutions. Experience with SQL a plus
- You’re results oriented, with mastery in identifying KPI, setting goals, and charging towards success of those goals.
- You’re a self-starter able to work in fast-paced, start-up environment building structure and process into the team to help us scale and grow faster
- You’re collaborative, able to deliver success working with cross functional partners
- You’re experienced being in a room with leadership and helping solve a company’s biggest challenges
