About the Role
Weee! is seeking a Category Buyer, Mainstream Products to drive growth and optimize product assortment for our mainstream categories. This role will work to execute merchandising strategies, source products and build assortments to optimize
performance, enhance profitability, and drive growth . The ideal candidate has experience in market analysis, managing vendor relationships, and a passion for curating compelling product selections to ensure customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Implement category strategies to drive sales and maximize gross profit.
- Source and optimize product assortment to enhance customer experience and market competitiveness.
- Review purchase orders and payments, and address operational issues to ensure smooth collaborations with the vendors.
- Partner with supply chain teams to monitor inventory levels, prevent out-of-stock, and ensure product availability and fulfillment targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating optimal pricing to achieve business goals.
- Conduct regular market research to stay informed on industry trends, competitor strategies, and customer preferences
- Partner with cross-functional teams such as marketing and regional teams to implement promotional campaigns to drive sales.
- Monitor and analyze category performance, prepare and present weekly reports on sales, margins, product availability and other key metrics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of experience in grocery category management, sourcing, or procurement in the food, retail or e-commerce industry.
- Proven ability to develop and manage vendor relationships.
- Proficiency in data analysis to assess market trends, consumer behavior, and sales performance is a plus.
- Passion for food and experience in sourcing products that cater to diverse communities
- Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and problem-solving abilities.

Compensation Range
- The US base salary range for this full-time position is $68,000-81,000
- This role may be eligible to discretionary bonus, incentives and benefits
- Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location
