General Description:
Carpentry related campus maintenance
Prioritize work orders and maintain daily work schedules for planned and corrective maintenances at all HRL campuses.
Essential Duties:
Perform various repairs and/or installations of walls, doors, flooring, and ceilings. Fabrication, assembly, installation, campus general repairs, related to - laboratory, office, common spaces and grounds. Perform a wide range of utility maintenance functions. Assist other tradecrafts as needed. Eyewash and safety shower testing. Multiple campus locations.
Required Skills:
Experienced in the use of proper PPE per job task.
Must demonstrate & follow strict safety guidelines and techniques including, but not limited to the use of table, radial and band saws, drill press, jointer/planner, power sanders and hand power tools.
Appropriate use of various adhesives for wood, plastics and laminates.
Finish carpentry, drywall, framing, locksets, door closures and hinges.
Commercial/Industrial related work experience.
Data/spreadsheet inventory of tools, equipment & materials
Follow industry safety practices.
Required Education:
5-7 years in a carpentry related field.
High School or equivalent
Physical Requirements:
Job requires ascending/descending ladders and stairs, bending, squatting, stooping, twisting, carrying, and lifting up to 50 pounds and other essential motor skills.
Working in confined spaces.
Desire to learn new skills.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Special Requirements:
Must be available to work first or second shifts depending on business needs, and occasional weekends and overtime.
U.S. Citizenship required.
Valid driver’s license
This position is not eligible to work from home.
Compensation:
The pay range for this position is $40.12 - $43.61 per hour + bonus + benefits.
