POSITION SUMMARY

Newrez is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Transaction Manager to oversee all aspects of our external mortgage bulk settlements. The Transaction Manager will ensure seamless execution of these mortgage transactions, maintain accurate records of all deals, and provide regular reporting to leadership. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to identify and resolve issues causing delays, and a proactive approach to managing the transaction process.

DESCRIPTION

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate all external mortgage bulk settlements.

  • Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date record of all mortgage transactions, including key milestones, timelines, and involved parties.

  • Develop and deliver regular reports on transaction progress, highlighting any delays, bottlenecks, or issues requiring attention.

  • Schedule and facilitate meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders to address transaction statuses, resolve challenges, and ensure alignment on deadlines.

  • Identify potential or existing delays in the transaction process, investigate root causes, and collaborate with relevant parties to implement timely solutions.

  • Recommend and implement strategies to streamline transaction workflows, improve efficiency, and reduce errors or delays.

  • Ensure all transactions adhere to Newrez standards, legal requirements, and mortgage industry best practices.

  • Work closely with trade desk, servicing, collateral management, treasury, legal, and other team members to support a smooth transaction process.

  • Performs related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Minimum of 3-5 years in mortgage operations, transaction management, or a related field within financial services.

Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge

  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.

  • Strong Excel skills required, and a fundamental understanding of SQL preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting and stakeholder coordination.

  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Deep understanding of mortgage processes, purchase agreements and related legal documents, settlements, and loan allocation procedures.
