Position Description
Origis Energy is seeking an experienced finance professional for the role of Capital Markets Manager. This position will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Capital Markets and will assist the Company in managing two (2) critical corporate facilities, a Development Financing Facility and a Construction Warehouse Revolver. In addition to this primary focus on Corporate Facilities, the Manager will also contribute to sourcing, structuring, and managing equity and debt financings.
The Capital Markets Manager is a regular, full-time position, and is eligible for our generous employee benefits package, including employer paid health insurance, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employer matching contributions, and other great benefits. We are looking to add one (1) team member in either New York or Miami, FL.
Key Responsibilities
- Portfolio Management related tasks, including:
- Lead day-to-day management of the Development Finance Facility, including Borrowing Base determination based on the addition of new projects and equipment or removal of projects ready to finance, in coordination with the EPC, Procurement and Business Development teams
- Lead day-to-day management of the Construction Warehouse Revolver including funding of new projects for construction, ensuring adequacy of the projects with the funding criteria and compliance with the terms of the agreement at all times
- Coordinate Amendment and waiver processes for the Corporate Facilities with lenders, external counsel and third-party consultants, ensuring the preparation and delivery of all necessary documentation and reports
- Participate in the debt compliance process, covenant calculation, scenario planning and review/submission of periodic compliance certificates
- Administer/documentation, draws of cash and letter of credits on existing financing facilities
- Ensure timely and clear communication with Agents and syndicates, including management of Q&A logs
- Assist and coordinate executive reporting, including debt compliance scorecards, external financial reporting, and disclosures
- Other Finance related tasks, including:
- Assist in structuring and managing the capital stack of a project or a portfolio, including tax equity and debt financing
- Assist in negotiations of financing documents led by senior management, legal counsel, and the project development team
- Prepare quantitative and qualitative analysis on a variety of financing structures
- Financial modeling, structuring, project planning and forecasting, in collaboration with the Investment team
- Identify risks, recommend mitigants and implement strategies such as hedging interest rate risk
- Coordinate and instruct independent contractors and professionals as well as in-house teams working on the investment project, such as owners, financial institutions, lawyers, consultants, engineering and building contractors, developers, construction supervisors
- Research and analysis:
- Broad-based market and policy research
- Ability to understand state and local programs
- Analyze the incentive and tax environment and ability to underwrite various revenue streams
- Assist in overall strategic budget and planning exercises
- Financial Planning & Analysis duties include:
- Manage liquidity, investment, and cash management requirements for the Company
- Coordinate all activities to ensure a successful and timely realization of the project
- Coordinate with Accounting and FP&A departments
- Other tasks include:
- Assist in the development of investment projects
- Assist management in the acquisition and sale of projects
- General support for ad hoc strategic initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience in structured/project finance, preferably in the financial industry with a leading Project Finance lender
- Understanding of the renewable sector and associated capital structures including tax equity
- Experience structuring and administering financing facilities
- Existing relationships with the main PF lenders active in the market
- Broad understanding of Capital Markets and of the bank market in general, including appreciation for typical processes (credit committee; KYC diligence; etc)
- Good financial modeling skills
