As a capacity manager, you will represent Bowers Trucking and Logistics to prospective carrier partners. You will promote repeat business with these carriers through excellent customer service and communication skills to ensure carrier and customer satisfaction is achieved. You will provide fast, simple, and direct solutions for these carriers by working directly with the Senior Logistics account Manages and customers.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and grow existing and new carrier relationships by managing carrier day-to-day dispatch needs
- Analyze carrier needs and offer personalized dispatch solutions
- Review carrier set up packet to ensure all requirements are met (i.e., insurance requirements, no freight guard reports which signify red flags, safety scores satisfactory, military requirements)
- Work directly with customer Account Managers to understand client needs and match these needs with your carrier’s needs
- Communicate any issues which may arise with carriers directly to the customer’s assigned Account Manager
- Track all shipments from pick up to delivery
- Collect all paperwork from carrier upon delivery and ensure there were no issues, if issues are discovered work with Account Manager to resolve said issue
- Provide Account Manager a “corrective action report” when issues arise
- Review customer requirements in TMS and assign carriers which match these requirements
- Receive photo proof that carriers have tarps before assigning them to a load requiring tarping before assigning them to the load
- Receive photos from carriers after a load has been tarped to ensure it has taken place and is satisfactory to the customer
