Job Description
Summary
Plans, schedules and monitors the movement of materials through the production cycle to determine required materials purchases. Obtains materials using engineering and production schedules to maintain inventory at planned levels (i.e., Just in Time purchases, use of EOQ - Economic Order Quantities). Resolves discrepancies. Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Maintains specific data in ERP System

Ensures material standards are met and non-conformances or variances are approved and/or minimized.

Gathers quotations, examines bids and makes awards with guidance from Strategic Procurement team.

Evaluates vendor reliability and reports to Strategic Procurement team.

Revise production schedules when required due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, collaborating with management, sales, production or engineering.

Daily availability to include evenings and weekends when necessary to reach goals and deadlines.

Maintains accurate inventory through cycle count process.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in a related field and 2-5 years of directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
