The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) plays a key role in optimizing business processes and technology solutions to support construction and renewable energy projects. This role involves gathering requirements, analyzing workflows, and collaborating with stakeholders to implement and enhance enterprise accounting and finance systems. The BSA ensures that technology supports operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and strategic business goals in the renewable energy construction sector.

Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Business & Systems Analysis

Act as a liaison between Accounting, Finance, IT and business units to understand business needs.

Gather, document, and analyze business and functional requirements for system enhancements and implementations.

Translate business processes into system workflows, ensuring alignment with company objectives.

Assist in the implementation and optimization of construction management, ERP, FP&A and procurement systems.

Provide support and troubleshooting for integration between various systems.

Develop dashboards and reports to help ensure data accuracy and integrity across financial systems.
Process Improvement & Optimization

Support compliance with SOX internal controls, industry regulations, and renewable energy incentives.

Identify inefficiencies in construction, procurement, and financial workflows and recommend automation solutions.

Develop user training materials and conduct workshops for new system users.

Communicate system updates, best practices, and process improvements to key stakeholders.
Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Construction Management, or a related field.

Experience: 3+ years in business systems analysis, preferably in the construction or renewable energy sector.

Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI, SQL.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with construction ERP systems (e.g., CMiC, Procore, Viewpoint, Sage 300).

Experience with financial planning software such as Planful.

Certifications such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional), PMP (Project Management Professional), or experience with Lean Six Sigma.

Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, or other project management methodologies is a plus.
