About the role:

This BA position engages with internal constituents and clients to determine requirements on improving the technology capabilities of our Transfer Agency solutions. The BA will, in collaboration with development and product resources to complete designs that developers will consider as they develop new services and capabilities

About the team:  

Our Transfer Business completes development work using an Agile approach. Our Product Group works closely in a team structure, with willingness to assist other team members to produce thorough and accurate solution designs. FIS’ Business Analyst team completes analysis on capabilities and services related to legacy and emerging technology environments.

What you will be doing:

• The Business Analyst should have a broad understanding of our industry to successfully interact with our client’s project and system support leads.

• In addition, the BA may participate in testing and validating new systems and processes to meet business requirements.

• Conduct various types of research and analysis to support business operations of an internal business segment, division, group or line of business.

• Assist management in resolving business issues in an effective and productive manner.

• Design, document and re-engineer business processes and publish business metrics results.

• Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

• Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise.

• Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel (Team Lead).

What you will need:

• 3-5 recent years of experience working in the financial services industry as a Business Analyst, Technical Analyst, Operations Analyst, or Programming Analyst.

• A thorough understanding of end-to-end systems development life cycles.

• 3-5 recent years of experience in a Capital Markets technology environment

  5 recent years of experience with API Log Research

• 3-5 recent years of experience with SQL or Oracle query

• Wide-ranging experience using professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways

• Must possess strong analytical skills.

• Excellent communication abilities

• Deep understanding of business operations and IT systems.

• Work with IT and other departments to implement solutions and ensure they align with business goals.

Added bonus if you have:

• Familiarity with Agile is needed.  Proficiency with Agile is preferred.
