As a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) intern, the successful candidate will work closely with our Senior BSAs as they engage Operations and our technical teams to understand, document, and implement our top initiatives in Q2 and Q3 2025. The intern will be responsible for evaluating and improving new and existing business processes and gain experience with User Acceptance Testing.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Partner with Operations reps to learn the annuity business.
  • Participate in team meetings and share ideas and solutions to achieve departmental goals.
  • Learn our internal system and engage in test planning and testing with the UAT Specialist on team.
  • Assist with procedures and process improvements.
  • Hold requirements gathering sessions and document requirements for small enhancements and projects.
  • Gain exposure to communicating up and presenting to various project stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate students completing their sophomore or junior year preferred pursuing Business Administration, Finance or Information Technology Majors.
  • Availability to work full-time hours over the summer.
  • Familiarity with Insurance industry is ideal
  • Ability to clearly articulate complex information to others.
  • Detail oriented with strong focus on quality of deliverables.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and solve problems and issues of all types.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Ownership and accountability for deliverables.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Strong written and communication skills.
  • Ability to establish positive relationships and work effectively with any department.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint)
