Job Description
Develops and directs business planning for the out loud audio categories in the Americas, including US, Latin America and Canada business. Leads the planning and optimization of our promotional and pricing tactics in alignment with cross-functional channel team, working closely with sales, finance and our analytics team. Participates in Integrated Business Planning process, acting as conduit between the business and the supply and demand planning functions. Ensure product plans drive the optimal commercial outcome, facilitating decision making around GTM strategy along with coordination of lifecycle management decisions.
- Own end-to-end go to market launch planning and end of life transitions for region as well as facilitations of the Annual Operating Plan process.
- Lead collaboration across sales leadership, supply chain, product, and marketing functions for developing product launch timing and tactics along with product exit strategies.
- Serve as liaison between Sales and the product organization to ensure product roadmaps translate to commercial plans that are executed with best possible outcome.
- Drive channel conflict discussions, leveraging data and balancing our desire to win share and remain profitable.
- Challenge forecast assumptions with sales team to ensure best plans in place to deliver revenue and profit targets for category.
- Develop and drive cross-functional alignment of annual category promotional plan for US, CA, and MX with support of data, insights, and measurement of past event performance.
- Provide recommendations to product management and finance on portfolio roadmap and pricing architecture based on market dynamics and competitive activity
- Advocate for the growth of the category, leveraging data and analytics to facilitate recommendations to both product and sales community.
Skills/Experience:
- Ability to drive discussion and debate with cross-functional leadership to reach consensus
- Commercial acumen with experience in product lifecyle management
- Strong analytics skills and business acumen
- Demonstrated ability to navigate conflict and drive consensus amongst senior leadership
- Experience in managing both sides of the P&L, either directly or indirectly
- Experience in retail environment a plus
- 5-10+ years experience in business planning or category management role
