Job Summary
The Business PlanningAnalyst primarily provides support services for the financial reporting, budgeting andforecasting for F&G’s Retail division. This position will also provide some support services for business planning across F&G’s Insurance Group.
This position reports to the Manager, Retail Business Planning.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with gathering and analysis of data to support financial reporting and budgeting and forecasting for Retail division
- Budgeting/Forecasting
- Prepare month end reporting and analyses.
- Participate in month end reviews with department leaders.
- Prepare summary reporting to share with Insurance Group leadership.
- Create and manage files and datamodels.
- Prepare historical data for the budget center leaders.
- Partner with Retail Business Planning team to assist budget center leaders in completing the budget templates
- Analyze budget submissions to ensure they comply with the guidance provided by leadership.
- Consolidate budget data for leadership review and assist in preparing presentation for leadership.
- Collaborate to improve the budget template and process.
- Maintain calendars of key deliverables.
- Participate in the team’s continuous process improvement culture - empowered to identify, recommend, and implement process improvement opportunities (including automation). Collaborate with cross functional teams on improving data reporting and evaluate automation opportunities.
Experience and Education Requirements
- BA/BS in Economics, Finance or related field
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a corporate finance/portfolio management environment with emphasis on analytics. Experience in insurance industry preferred.
- Experience supporting strategic and financial initiatives

- Knowledge of financial modeling & reporting
- Knowledge & experience of modeling & reporting via Excel, PowerPoint, SQL (desired), Smartview (desired), and Onestream (desired)

- Regular and punctual attendance
- Some travel required (less than 10%)
