About the role

This is a key role in driving efficiency, optimizing processes, and supporting strategic initiatives within the organization. As a business operations analyst, you will leverage data-driven insights to improve operations, enhance decision-making, and ensure smooth cross-functional collaboration. 

You will be heavily involved in the overall operations of the business while ensuring that the operations and strategies are implemented as we continue to scale and meet the ever-growing demands of our merchants and the business

Requirements

What you’ll be doing 

  •  Analyze and evaluate business processes, workflows, and systems to identify areas for improvement.. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement operational strategies that enhance productivity and efficiency. 
  •  Work with the data team to Collect, clean, and analyze operational data to provide actionable insights that support decision-making. 
  • Create detailed business reports, including financial performance, partner trends, and operational efficiency. 
  • Forecast operational needs and trends to guide resource allocation and strategic planning. 
  •  Identify opportunities for automation of routine tasks to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy. 
  • Identify and assess potential partnership opportunities that align with the company's strategic goals.
  • Develop a comprehensive partnership strategy to foster business growth and expansion.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and potential partners.
  • Lead negotiations to establish mutually beneficial partnership agreements.
  • Ensure that all partnership agreements are well-defined, legally sound, and align with the company's objectives.
  • Collaborate with legal and finance teams to finalize and execute partnership contracts.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for partners, maintaining strong relationships and addressing concerns promptly.
  • Document processes and maintain operational standards for scalability. 
  • Support the planning and execution of key business initiatives and projects. 
  •  Track project milestones, deliverables, and timelines to ensure alignment with business goals. 
  •  Provide clear and concise communication to stakeholders regarding project progress and challenges. 
  • Act as a liaison between operations and other departments to align priorities and resources. 

What you’ll need

  • 2-4 years of experience in operations analysis, business analysis, or a similar role within a financial services environment. 
  • Proficient in data analysis tools 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market trends and data. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
    Reporting Line: This role reports to the COO through the lead on African Expansion,  while also collaborating closely with the relevant business units across the organization.

🧑‍💻 [60m] Team Interview Stage (Operations Team) - We proceed to explore your professional background in greater detail and facilitate introductions to team members, including those from various cross-functional areas.

[60m] Cultural Fit Interview () - At this stage, you'll engage in a conversation with Kora's COO, the Head of People and Culture, and the head of the team you’re being considered for. The aim is to understand you better and assess the alignment of your beliefs and values with Kora's distinctive culture. We'd like to emphasize that there are no right or wrong answers expected. However, we encourage you to maintain a positive attitude during this session.

Working hours

Given that we are an all-remote company and hire almost anywhere in the world, we don’t have a location requirement for this role. However, your working hours must coincide with 9:00 am - 5:00 pm WAT for at least 40 hours/week.
