JOB SUMMARY
As the Business Systems Analyst Manager, you’ll be in charge of guiding and growing a team of Critical Manufacturing MES experts across different production areas. You’ll ensure the system aligns with both business and operational needs, driving efficiency and continuous improvement. Working closely with IT, operations, various business units, and external customers, you’ll make sure the MES runs smoothly and truly adds value to the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead MES Service Delivery
    Ensure high-quality support of the Critical Manufacturing MES for all production and support areas, maintaining stability and operational continuity.

  • Business Engagement
    Build and maintain strong relationships with Operations, Business Units, and external customers. Gather requirements, translate them into MES functionalities, and lead continuous improvements aligned with business goals.

  • Incident Management & Communication
    Oversee the prioritization, escalation, and resolution of MES-related incidents, ensuring clear communication with stakeholders and swift resolution of issues.

  • Collaboration with IT Teams
    Work hand-in-hand with internal IT groups to secure the necessary infrastructure (databases, servers, networks) and keep lines of communication open for deployments, updates, and technical escalations related to MES.

  • Risk Management
    Identify and track key operational risks tied to the MES. Focus on business continuity, compliance, and audit requirements to uphold a reliable and compliant system.

  • Continuous Improvement & Metrics
    Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for MES support and services. Use data-driven approaches to continuously enhance processes and system effectiveness.

  • Global Standards & Best Practices
    Stay connected with global teams—both in IT and other business areas—to share best practices, align on standardization efforts, and collaborate on innovation.

  • Change Management & Projects
    Evaluate and manage change requests—new features, upgrades, etc.—ensuring any potential business impact is understood and risks are addressed. Lead or participate in key projects where MES is a critical enabler.

  • Reporting & Performance Tracking
    Provide timely, accurate reports on MES performance (availability, usage, trends, SLA achievement) to inform leadership and stakeholders of system health and improvements.

  • Team Leadership
    Hire, develop, and assess a team of MES Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). Oversee workloads, set priorities, and drive performance management to ensure effective, engaged support.

  • Financial Management
    Manage budgeting and cost forecasting for the Business Systems function, optimizing resource allocation for the MES environment.

  • Customer Service Commitment
    Aim to exceed user expectations—both internal and external—by tackling issues proactively and prioritizing the customer’s perspective in problem-solving.

  • Adaptability in Fast-Paced Environments
    Thrive under pressure by effectively juggling evolving priorities and deadlines.

  • Policies & Compliance
    Comply with all safety and health rules. Ensure adherence to internal policies, regulations, and quality standards relevant to MES support and operation.

  • Other Duties
    Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as needed.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven leadership and resource management skills, ideally in manufacturing or critical systems environments.

  • Strong background in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES); experience with Critical Manufacturing MES is a big plus.

  • Familiarity with service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL) and project management methodologies.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact comfortably at all organizational levels.

  • Detail-oriented and adept at analyzing metrics, identifying trends, and suggesting improvements.

  • Experience with SAP or other relevant ERP systems is beneficial but not mandatory.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field (preferred).

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in IT/Business Systems/Manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.

  • Certifications in Lean Six Sigma, Project Management, or ITIL are advantageous.

  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
