About the position
We are looking to hire an established and experienced Business Development Specialist with deep knowledge of the Korea market. Based in Hong Kong, this addition to our team will be a valued liaison to our external partners and play a formative role in helping our team develop a strategy for the region.
You’ll work closely with colleagues across the firm to expand our relationships with regulators, the exchange and market intermediaries/service providers. This is a people-focused role that relies heavily on building and maintaining relationships. You’ll be expected to travel and join meetings and represent the firm externally to various partners.
We work in a highly collaborative environment, and this role is a chance to sit at the intersection of our options trading desk, Strategy group and Technology group, providing key feedback and sharing insights that will help us shape and refine our strategy for the region.
About you
- 5+ years of experience in an exchange-facing role at a broker or local securities firm
- Have a solid understanding of the complexities of the Korean market
- Can stay organised, care about the details and handle competing priorities
- Enjoy working with people, and can communicate effectively with various audiences
- Proactive; can think strategically and turn ideas into action
- Professional, reliable and courteous
- Fluency in Korean and English required
