Job Description
Visa Direct works on designing, managing, and growing products and solutions for moving money using Visa's networks e.g. Visa Direct, CurrencyCloud and Visa B2B Connect. These products and services are typically aimed at banks, fintechs, remitters, marketplaces, and other organizations. These capabilities support collections, multi-currency accounts, disbursements of P2P and B2B funds. Visa Direct spans across different dimensions of money movement including cross-border transactions, disbursements, money transfers, and more.
This role will report into the Head of Visa Direct in Central Europe and requires close collaboration with the responsible for Group Clients in Central Europe and will lead commercial deals from origination to closure for Group Clients (large financial institutions). Capitalising on the size and market reach of these customers, provide them with the best-in-class multi-market expertise and know-how and provide tailor-made global framework agreements to help these clients to grow their business.
This role will be responsible for delivering commercial outcomes, deliver the multi-million sales pipeline for Visa Direct services and ensure consistent growth of existing clients through opening new business with them. As a senior manager/director you will lead and deliver projects for our Group Clients and will be responsible for all global & local sales and projects activities for these Visa Group Clients in Central Europe. You will align with your Visa Direct colleagues and the Visa Account Executives of these Global Clients to ensure best practice sharing, exchange on projects and ensure we capture all market insights needed. You will be acting as the ‘connector” and build together with your peers a better understanding of the client needs and pain points and provide strategic advice.

Visa is looking for an experienced banker and/or payments leader with an outstanding sales track record. In addition to business development experience, outstanding client management and interpersonal skills are critical.
What we expect of you, day to day.
- Define and execute Go-to-Market plans together with the Account Executives and Visa Direct peers for these Group Clients.
- Leads with a client-first sales mindset and creates custom, differentiated solutions that grow Visa Direct and clients’ business
- Assesses deal potential after identifying new opportunities based on strong Visa Direct product / solution knowledge, and maintain cross-functional relationships to pull in specialists where needed to drive deals forward
- Anticipates and uncovers ‘hidden’ client needs, giving them confidence that Visa Direct can address their needs and jointly achieve their business objectives
- Originate and own an aggressive sales target for Visa Direct capabilities that include Visa Direct Card/Account/Wallet, VXBS and B2BC
- Create and nurture wide network of stakeholders within these Group Clients in different countries where they are present
- Client interaction with top corporate and retail bank leaders in your region, e.g. Head of Payments, Head of Retail Products, Head of Transaction banking, Head of Correspondent banking, Head of Cards
- Based on the deep knowledge of bank’s situation define best product proposition, while trying to create a roadmap for implementation of all services
- Leverage internal and external relationships to develop a robust sales pipeline
- Work with finance business partners to structure high value, complex global commercial deal structures
Qualifications
- Experience in selling and working with banks
- An excellent team player and “connector” by nature with pronounced Hands-On mentality
- Knowledge of the payments business and/or financial services incl. innovation driving the digital banking and wholesale banking
- Strong Problem-Solving & Story lining Skills
- Commercial Savviness – being able to spot an opportunity and drive value for Visa Direct and the Client
- Self-starter and attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate closely with multiple internal and external clients at various levels within the business
- Willingness to travel within the Central Europe Region and European territories
- Fluent in English. German is an asset
- Knowledge of correspondent banking, cash management, etc are highly valued
