We are looking for a skilled and motivated Freelance/Part-Time Business Development Representative (BDR) to join Loka, the 2024 AWS Innovation Partner of the Year, for a 3-month experiment (February–April 2025). This initiative is designed to drive pipeline growth and strengthen our position as a top AWS partner.

Now, we’re looking for a BDR who can work with our CMO to help us unlock new opportunities through AWS-funded campaigns and strategic outreach.
As a BDR, you’ll play a pivotal role in generating and nurturing leads, strengthening relationships with AWS sales teams, and helping architect a scalable BD process. This is a part-time role (~50 hours/month) with the potential to scale into a longer-term opportunity if the experiment proves successful. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation:
- Drive 50–65 Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) and 6–13 Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) through targeted AWS-funded campaigns.
- Focus on SMB lead generation and outreach while building enterprise trust.
- Pipeline Development:
- Identify and nurture new opportunities aligned with AWS funding programs such as MAP and SMB-focused offers.
- Build and manage a self-controlled pipeline, positioning Loka as a preferred partner for AWS initiatives.
- AWS Relationship Management:
- Strengthen relationships with AWS sales teams by originating deals that align with their priorities.
- Serve as the bridge between Loka and AWS stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment and mutual success.
- Execution and Reporting:
- Follow structured outreach processes, adhering to AWS and industry standards to avoid reputation risks.
- Provide weekly updates on lead generation, pipeline progress, and AWS feedback.
- Contribute to a final Q1 review assessing success metrics, ROI, and recommendations for scaling.

- 50–65 MQLs
- 6–13 SQLs
- 2 closed deals within the 3-month period
- Strengthened AWS relationships and positive feedback from stakeholders
- Clear ROI and a scalable BD process for future campaigns
Who You Are:
- Proven Experience:
- 2–5 years of business development or sales experience, ideally in the cloud, SaaS, or tech ecosystem.
- Experience working with AWS sales teams or cloud-focused campaigns is highly preferred.
- Skilled Communicator:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for building trust with internal and external stakeholders.
- Expertise in crafting compelling outreach messages aligned with AWS-funded efforts.
- Strategic and Analytical:
- Results-driven with a focus on metrics, ROI, and strategic alignment.
- Ability to manage multiple campaigns and assess their effectiveness with data-driven insights.
- Self-Starter with Structure:
- Comfortable working in a part-time, freelance capacity with minimal supervision.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working within a tightly scoped role.
