The Business Development Representative (CISCO) for our CCA (Caribbean Central America) Organization act as internal support to the vendor business lead to drive profitable market share growth through business planning execution, pipeline management and deep sales floor and customer enablement and engagement.

What You’ll Do:

  • Engages with the Business Unit and/or General sales floor, running desk training, tool training and driving product mind share

  • Support development of strategies and ideas to assist business growth

  • Ownership for building an accurate and detailed pipeline of deals within the Company’s CRM system (Compass)

  • Weekly reporting to the vendor on sell-out activity, tracking performance of promotional activities and the deal pipeline

  • Support execution of business plans as required by the business development manager

  • Support execution of marketing plans as required by the Marketing Manager

  • Identify training opportunities within customers and internal sales teams and address accordingly

  • The point of escalation for customer care issues from the sales floor

  • Provide direction for the development and maintenance of web tools such as InTouch, Licensing Online (LOL) as well as vendor micro-sites and online configurators

  • Communicate product information, pricing, special offers and promotions to customers and the internal sales teams

  • Run call out days on the sales floor and/or the Business Unit sales teams

  • Promote and sell Tech Data’s e-business services through the sales floor and/or Business Unit sales teams

  • Engage directly with customers depending on role requirements

  • Performs other additional duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).

  • 2+ years of experience in sales, business development, account management, or vendor management, preferably in the IT or technology distribution industry.

  • Experience working with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Compass) and sales reporting tools.

  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) required.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze market trends and identify growth opportunities.

  • Excellent communication & presentation skills to engage with sales teams, customers, and vendors.

  • Proven ability to manage pipelines and drive revenue growth through proactive business development strategies.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment with strong problem-solving skills.

  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a proactive approach to sales and vendor engagement.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

  • Collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and business development teams.

Technical & Industry Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with IT products, services, and solutions (preferred but not mandatory).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).

  • Experience working with digital sales tools and e-commerce platforms is a plus.

Other Education/Certifications:

  • CCNA, CCDP, CCDA, CCNP, CCIE Preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Professional environment (Remote).

  • Occasional non-standard work hours or overtime as business requires.

  • Represents the company to the customer and the customer to the company in all sales-oriented activities.

  • Ability to travel occasionally for vendor meetings or events.
