What your day will look like:
- Identify, qualify, and develop net new business opportunities to contribute to the annual quota for the region
- Focus on generating a strong pipeline of new opportunities aligned with Genetec’s strategic goals. Specifically in the MX Public sector
- Build and maintain strong relationships with system integrators, distributors, and key end users in the region
- Collaborate closely with tech partners to drive joint initiatives and develop co-branded opportunities
- Work with the Commercial team to align BD efforts with broader sales targets, focusing on closing deals and achieving collective revenue goals
- Support Marketing by participating in regional campaigns, events, and lead generation activities
- Develop and execute business plans for the region, incorporating market trends, competitor analysis, and customer needs
- Act as a local expert on regional market dynamics and security trends
- Ensure cybersecurity solutions are effectively positioned as a core differentiator in all BD activities
- Monitor and report on pipeline growth, opportunity conversion rates, and tech partner impact in the region
- Provide regular updates to leadership on progress, challenges, and opportunities (Microsoft Dynamics CRM)
More about you:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field; MBA or equivalent is a plus
- 5+ years in Business Development, Sales, or a related role, ideally in the security or technology sector
- Experience working with distributors, system integrators, or tech partners in the region
- Experience working in public sector projects, TOR's, sales cycles within this particular vertical
- Familiarity with Genetec’s solutions, VMS, and cybersecurity offerings is a strong advantage
- Fluent in Spanish and English (Portuguese is a plus)
- Willingness to travel extensively within Mexico, Puerto Rico, and the Caribbean, as well as occasionally to LATCAR headquarters
- Proactive: Self-starter who can identify opportunities and take initiative without constant oversight
- Collaborative: Team player who can work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
- Goal-Oriented: Driven to meet or exceed revenue and pipeline targets
- Adaptable: Comfortable navigating diverse markets and adjusting strategies based on regional needs
- Proven experience in Business Development or Sales, with a focus on technology or security solutions
- Strong understanding of pipeline development and sales cycles in Latin America, especially for Public Sector in Mexico
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with partners, end users, and internal teams
- Familiarity with cybersecurity trends, products, and their integration into physical security solutions
- Ability to analyze market data and use insights to identify opportunities and develop strategic initiatives
- Track record of successful collaboration with Marketing, Sales, and Tech Partner teams to achieve shared goals
- Deep understanding of cultural and business nuances in Mexico, Puerto Rico, and the Caribbean
