About the Role
The Business Development Manager, Themed Entertainment, will be responsible for generating preference for HARMAN product solutions with targeted Harman Dealers, Consultants, End-users and others involved in the specification and procurement of AVL products for use in Themed Entertainment. The primary mission is to drive demand for HARMAN products by establishing, building, and maintaining relationships with key decision makers in this market, to build an ever growing project/sales pipeline and meet/exceed revenue targets.
Your Team
This role will report to the Sr. Manager, Business Development and will join a team of business development and consultant specialists.
What You Will Do
- Develop strategic relationships with individuals and organizations in the Themed Entertainment industry.
- Promote the use of Harman products through pre and post-sale project support, product education and demonstration, and partnership negotiations.
- Responsible for achieving sales and bookings targets and developing business in accordance with the company’s business plan for the specific vertical market.
- Ensure that sales goals and forecasts are consistent with the organization’s long-range strategic objective
- Responsible for monitoring the performance of the existing product range, and identifying market trends and opportunities for new product development as it applies to the specific vertical market
- Provide input in the specification of new product roadmap by providing the company with an effective market research/market feedback function.
What You Need
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the professional audio, video and control industry.
- Direct inside knowledge of the Themed Entertainment industry
- Knowledge of competitive audio, video and control brands
- Working knowledge of the use and integration of professional audio, video and control products within Themed Entertainment
- Working knowledge of software platforms associated with the deployment of professional audio, video and control products
- Experience with CRM, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other industry standard software
- Strong communication, decision-making, and collaboration skills.
What is Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s Degree or above preferred.
- Professional presence on and active usage of social media platforms
- Direct or indirect people leader responsibilities
- Previous job history with a themed entertainment entity, competitive equipment manufacturer, or system integrator and/or designer.
- Deep technical knowledge of audio, video and control system theory and application.
What Makes You Eligible
- Be willing to travel up to 50%, domestic travel
- Be willing to work in a Harman office or Home Office in North America
- Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment

Salary Ranges:
$ 105,000 - $ 154,000
