About the Position:

As a Business Development Manager Strategic Alliances, Cisco at Logicalis, you will play a crucial role in driving the business development and strategic adoption of Cisco solutions across our customer base. This role is fundamentally business development-focused, requiring you to identify new growth opportunities, foster strategic alliances, and collaborate with internal and external teams to shape the future of Cisco's solutions. The role requires a strong proficiency in Cisco’s core technology areas to drive business development, co-sell motions, and strategic partnerships. A solid understanding of networking, security, collaboration, data centre and cloud solutions is essential, alongside knowledge of Cisco’s lifecycle and recurring offers. The ability to align Cisco technologies to broader business outcomes and digital transformation strategies is critical. You will play a critical role in expanding the Cisco business within Logicalis, contributing directly to growth and long-term success.

As a Business Development Manager - you will be expected to:

  • Lead business development strategy and initiatives focused on Cisco solutions, identifying new opportunities to drive business growth within both existing and new customer segments.
  • Cultivate new business opportunities by actively identifying and pursuing potential customers and partners, positioning Cisco solutions as a critical part of their transformation journey.
  • Collaborate with sales, solutions, and marketing teams to align Cisco solutions with customer business needs, ensuring that we deliver comprehensive and compelling offerings that drive growth.
  • Be the Trusted Advisor, leveraging your deep understanding of Cisco’s portfolio to foster long-term relationships, helping customers align their needs with innovative solutions, and driving successful business outcomes.
  • Drive go-to-market initiatives by proactively identifying and developing strategic business opportunities, enabling Logicalis to capture and expand in high-value markets.
  • Maximise utilisation of Cisco’s Lifecycle Incentive Program (LIP) and other partner incentives to drive business development, increase customer adoption, and generate recurring revenue from Cisco’s solutions.
  • Identify and engage with strategic partners, developing joint go-to-market strategies and leveraging Cisco's Partner Acceleration Funds (PAF) and Strategic Development Funds (SDF) to fuel mutual growth.
  • Drive sales, consumption, and sell-through of Logicalis’ Cisco solutions, working closely with internal teams and external partners to expand Cisco’s footprint in the market.
  • Lead the end-to-end sales process from identifying opportunities to closing deals, ensuring that customer needs are understood, solutions are tailored, and revenue targets are exceeded.
  • Support regional and global teams in the development of strategic business initiatives and share insights to help refine and expand Cisco’s market position globally.

 In this role you will spend:

  • 40% time with customers as well as Logicalis’ sellers and pre-sales teams in identifying and developing new opportunities which align to the customer’s technical and business strategy. Working closely with Cisco as well as engaging with Solutions & Marketing teams on prioritized customers. This includes proposal write up, sizing and presentation to all level in customer organisation.
  • 40% time with Cisco teams to co-design and co-execute programs and motions to facilitate business development and growth across modern workplace technologies and to capitalize and utilize partner incentives, rebates and other benefits and entitlements.
  • 20% time working and collaborating with Logicalis Regional and Global teams on go-to-market strategies by providing feedback on current and future market and customer requirements.  

What you will bring:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in consultative selling and business development, with a strong focus on cloud, security, networking, observability and SaaS platforms.
  • Proven success in customer and partner-facing roles, actively developing new business opportunities and managing strategic relationships within the IT and cloud ecosystems.
  • A track record of overachieving sales quotas and business development targets, with demonstrated success in cultivating relationships with senior C-level stakeholders and executing new business initiatives.
  • Strong experience in building and executing business development strategies, identifying new revenue streams, and driving substantial growth within existing customer bases.
  • Proven ability to deliver results in a matrix organisation, leveraging cross-functional teams to drive business success and meet growth targets.
  • A deep understanding of partner ecosystems and the ability to leverage partner programmes and solutions to meet customer needs and drive mutual business growth.
  • Experience in cloud computing technologies/companies and a broad knowledge of enterprise cloud platforms, with the ability to map relevant technologies to customer IT and business priorities.
  • Strong ability to establish and maintain trusted relationships with partners and customers, positioning yourself as a business development leader and trusted advisor within the Cisco ecosystem.
  • Proficiency in Cisco’s partner programmes, rebate structures, and tools like Cisco Commerce Workspace (CCW), as well as familiarity with Cisco’s Partner Experience Platform (PXP) and the newly created Cisco 360 Partner program.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage at all levels of an organisation and present complex technical concepts in a clear, compelling manner.
  • Self-driven, results-oriented with a passion for business development and a strong commitment to delivering outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
