PeopleCert is looking for a Business Development Manager to drive growth by developing robust pipelines and securing new business within their territory. Leveraging a deep understanding of PeopleCert Group’s offerings and go-to-market strategy, the successful candidate will build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers across training organizations, universities, and corporations within their assigned region.
As a Business Development Manager, your tasks will include the following:
- Lead and manage business development activities across the LATAM region to expand the market and strengthen the regional presence.
- Establish and nurture relationships with corporates, government entities, and professional organizations to enhance market awareness and grow the adoption of PeopleCert products.
- Collaborate with PeopleCert partner organizations across the region, supporting their efforts to increase product sales and achieve market penetration.
- Leverage account management expertise and significant professional experience to build and sustain high-quality business relationships at the Senior Executive level.
- Drive B2B market growth by implementing a results-oriented sales strategy tailored to the region.
- Align business development strategies with local market conditions and culture, ensuring seamless coordination with the company’s operational base.
- Develop and execute a personal sales strategy to maximize return on time investment for specific territories or market segments.
- Track performance against daily/weekly/monthly sales targets and provide regular reports to Headquarters.
- Address customer challenges and complaints in coordination with internal support teams to ensure prompt resolution and high customer satisfaction.
- Represent the company at trade shows, conventions, and other industry events to promote products and build new connections.
What we look for:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Over 10 years of experience in corporate-level business development, with a demonstrated history of successful business transactions.
- Exposure in the Education market, Consulting or Examination / Certification sectors in previous role(s) as well as prior experience in international corporate environments will be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of Spanish, Portuguese & Brazilian Portuguese (native-like level) will be considered an asset.
- Excellent (or native-like) command of the English language (C2 level certification desired, LanguageCert C2 LTE or C2 IESOL certificate would be a plus)
- Exposure on LATAM Market.
- Advanced computer literacy is required. ECDL Advance level certification is desirable. Experience in Microsoft Dynamics CRM or similar software will be considered an asset.
- Awareness of ITIL®, PRINCE2®, DevOps, and other PeopleCert products would be considered as a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of channel development, strategic selling, partnership strategies, and consultative sales techniques.
- A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work effectively across diverse cultures to drive market growth.
- Exceptional relationship management, communication, and negotiation skills for collaborating with executives, external stakeholders, and cross-functional teams at all levels.

Working on Home Office (HO) Secure English Language Tests (SELTs)
Any person who is engaged by PeopleCert to work on the SELT service must undergo a Background Check (the results of which must be acceptable to PeopleCert and the HO) prior to commencing their SELT duties. All SELT personnel will be required to complete a declaration (provided by PeopleCert) where the existence of any criminal record and/or bankruptcy must be declared.
If working on the SELT service in the UK, background checks will include:
- A basic or enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check
- Right to Work in the UK check (including nationality, identity and place of residence)
- HO security check (Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) or Counter Terrorist Check (CTC)
- Financial background check
- Employment reference check.
- If working on the SELT service anywhere in the world (outside of the UK) personnel will undergo background checks that are equivalent to those stated for the UK.
In addition, if personnel are required to speak to SELT candidates they must be appropriately skilled in English language and, where SELT services are provided anywhere in the world (outside of the UK), the official language of the relevant country.
