About This Role
Business Development:
- Lead business development and sales of CAE products and services within the Central Europe Region (primarily Poland) in line with CAE’s corporate strategy.
- Leverage existing company and personal network to develop Business Relationships within the forces and the overall Defence ecosystems (Procurement Agency, OEMS as Partners/Customers, Suppliers)
- Identify and develop the customer's requirements to match the business capabilities.
- Identify and propose business capability development to match customer and market future needs and entry points for exploitation.
Sales:
- Lead all assigned business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-government (B2G) opportunities from the prospecting to the contract award in accordance with the corporate governance and lead-to-award process.
- Own new business opportunities and have the responsibility to close on orders.
- Deliver business, growth and financial goals, grow a long-term opportunity pipeline and develop long-term partnerships.
- Plan and coordinate trade fairs and other marketing events.
Internal stakeholders’ management:
- Ensure alignment of S&BD organisation with the rest of the business (Capture, Bid, Program, Customer Services, Portfolio, Legal, Finance…)
- Communicates and influences leadership regarding matters of business strategic importance, frequently conducts briefings to senior leadership
Reporting:
- Maintain the CAE Corporate Customer Relationship Management (CRM) data accurately.
- Deliver requested reporting to diverse internal stakeholders (Excom Members, Direct Managers, BEA …)
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance rules are respected
Experience & Skills:
- Operational background (ex-forces, MoD, or Procurement Agency) and/or “face-to-the-end-user” Sales experience is a must. The ideal candidate would have both.
- Demonstrable track record of development of Defence customer relationships, ability to influence decision-making, and large aerospace/defence program wins.
- Strong network of industry contacts and enthusiasm for frequent customer engagement and relationship development.
- Experience and utilisation of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) programs.
- Experience and understanding of new business capture processes, including development and execution of capture strategies, requirements shaping, development of price-to-win and competitive assessment, and knowledge of key discriminators and the most important requirements necessary to win competitive opportunities.
- High level of autonomy
- German and English are a must.
