RSM US LLP is looking for a dynamic Business Development Manager to join our Business Development Apprenticeship Program!

The Business Development Manager – Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain (“F&SC”) role serves as a strategic contributor and apprentice to RSM’s Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&SC business development team. The role will coordinate with numerous firm resources to develop and execute a market growth strategy and approach for selling F&SC alongside one or more of the experienced Dynamics 365 F&SC business developers.

The business development program is a multi-level opportunity by which the role will assist and participate in current F&SC sales pursuits helping the current team, improving their productivity, and learning from their expertise. The business development apprentice program will also include an opportunity for the right individuals to learn and grow over 12-months, applying sales techniques and strategies to become competent in owning and running a complete F&SC sales cycle with our customers. The initial responsibilities will include participation in qualification, RFP responses, discovery, Growth Platform tool utilization, value proposition development, developing competitive sales techniques and knowledge, learning closing strategies, and navigating the various resources and organizations within RSM and Microsoft.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Develop a technical level of expertise for Dynamics 365 F&SC at a functional level for each of the solution components, and the other solution that comprise the Microsoft Commercial Cloud.
  • Develop and understanding of what constitutes a qualified opportunity for RSM for a Dynamics 365 F&SC opportunity.
  • Support research, analysis, and design of business outcome advisory for RSM clients in the context of the benefits of Dynamics 365.
  • Develop an ability to understand an effective business and technical discovery session to create an RSM specific value proposition for the clients.
  • Develop and maintain strong alliance and co-selling relationships with Microsoft through meetings, events, co-selling activities, prospecting with Microsoft counterparts.
  • Assemble a pursuit team of internal resources, practice leaders and pre-sales engineers while also coordinating and orchestrating our ISV partners and Microsoft team members.
  • Interact with professional staff to collaboratively address the PE (Private Equity) marketplace in a team orientated coordinated fashion.
  • Prepare and facilitate presentations and proposals.
  • Documentation coordination, record keeping, and communication of project information.
  • Understand and lead the efforts to develop effective product demonstrations.
  • Become proficient at guiding and teaching C-Level executives regarding how to execute effective change management within an organization.
  • Leverage the Growth Platform tools to include relationship mapping, meeting prep, and analysis tools to be shared across the pursuit team.
  • Develop lead generation materials and content to be shared via social media, RSM Power, and for individual pursuits.
  • Learn and become engaged with the Microsoft ecosystem, to include Microsoft Sales Executives, Leadership, Pre-Sales, global black belts, and partner account management.
  • Close sales and finalize agreements with clients.
  • Identify and leverage key industry and technical resources to deploy on new opportunities.
  • Drive overall expansion and penetration of target accounts while retaining current engagements.
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree required; MBA preferred.

TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS

  • Demonstrated strategic thought process, experience, and deployment capabilities required.
  • Outstanding relationship management skills and personal networking skills required.
  • Demonstrated strong verbal communication skills and clear written communication skills required.
  • Strong presentation skills required - must demonstrate ability to organize and lead a meeting with C-level executives.
  • Strong organizational skills and attentiveness to detail - must be able to prioritize and multi-task in an outcome-oriented environment
  • Project management - must demonstrate ability to manage time, multi-task and meet deadlines, as well as possess strong creative problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Must demonstrate experience in working as a productive member of a team

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 5+ years of successful business applications sales experience with midsize and enterprise customers.
  • Active network of contacts and executive relationships at Microsoft preferred
  • Tangible and demonstrated experience in formal sales process deployment and use
  • Experience leveraging a CRM tool for report generation and sales tracking

At RSM, an employee’s pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $100,000 - $300,000

Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
