The opportunity
The Business Development Head will be primarily responsible for driving the Headcount growth of the Agency channel by attracting and onboarding top performing Financial Advisors and experienced Agency Leaders from the financial services industry.
Responsibilities
Strategic execution
- Plan and develop recruitment strategies that will help increase the recruitment funnel and improve conversion rate.
- Maintain a good network of high-quality candidates for the identified Recruitment Programs of the company.
- Reach out to potential candidates via traditional and modern recruitment methods and present the value proposition of the company.
- Review and make recommendations to improve the effectiveness of the existing Recruitment programs.
- Conceptualize new initiatives to increase the awareness of potential candidates about the advantage of joining Manulife Agency .
- Provide inputs to other agency departments to formulate effective agency development programs and initiatives as well as policies and procedures.
- Establish systems, processes, and procedures for the effective and efficient management of the recruitment and onboarding requirements of the candidates.
- Execute and implement projects related to agency development which may be assigned from time to time.
- Effectively align and execute strategies and action plans to meet the overall objectives of the team.
Performance management
- Ensure required recruitment and selection process is being followed by the Business Development Officers under his/her team.
- Develop and manage validation reports and payout administration of the candidates.
Team Capability Development
- Ensure agency training and competence requirements of staff under the team.
- Develop a strong team and establish succession plan within the department.

What we are looking for
- Graduate of bachelor's degree
- Five to Ten years or more relevant experience in recruitment and business development preferably in a life insurance setting
- Good network of Advisors and Leaders in the financial services industry
- Has held key positions relevant to the requirement of the job
- Ability to develop and execute sound business plans
- Proven leadership skills
- Excellent management skills
- High sense of business ethics and professionalism
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
