The base salary for this position is dependent upon experience and location:
Locations: TX and OK (remote role)
TX salary range: $103,939.00 to $129,924.00
OK salary range: $94,490.00 to $118,113.00
Business Developer will develop utility-scale wind and solar power projects in Texas for the purpose of achieving commercially operating renewable power stations in the ERCOT market.
Key Responsibilities
- Obtain, support and/or manage site development of wind and solar projects: including leasing or optioning land for lease or purchase property, getting easements, and curing title defects.
- Obtain land use entitlements, tax incentives, and other local/state/federal permits necessary for construction.
- Engage with project area communities and develop working relationships.
- Be a key point of contact for project stakeholders, including landowners and local/state officials.
- Develop project budgets and schedules, write reports, and give presentations as required and directed.
- Lead and coordinate a multi-disciplinary project team.
- Support project acquisition and or divestitures, including conducting due diligence.
- Assist with developing strategy and business opportunities in the region.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrate an understanding of ERCOT/U.S. electricity markets.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% or more as required within the region, and to corporate headquarters in Oregon.
- Demonstrate experience in contract review/negotiation, land-related development, project management, and problem/conflict resolution.
- Based in Texas. Able to work in U.S., native (or ability to communicate as such) English speaker, valid U.S. driver’s license.
Valued Qualifications
- Experience in renewable energy project development or equivalent in the electricity sector.
- Experience of developing renewable energy projects in ERCOT.
- Experience in developing a project/real estate or project management.
- Knowledge or understanding of agricultural and energy land use practices.
- Familiarity with title and survey requirements for land leasing or purchasing.
- Military or public service experience.
