Job Summary:
Leeward Renewable Energy is seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Automation Manager to join our team. LRE has the goal of self-performing O&M services at a select solar & BESS facilities starting in 2025. For that purpose, LRE is using various performance analytics systems and work management systems. We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Business Process Automation Manager who can transform our operations and maintenance (O&M) landscape by maximizing our use of IBM Maximo and driving efficiency through workflow automation. This role combines deep Maximo expertise with strong leadership and process improvement skills, bringing advanced knowledge in renewable energy O&M processes, AI-driven automation, and digital transformation to lead our plant administrators and optimize all aspects of our operational workflows.
The candidate will play a critical role in developing and optimizing inventory, cost, and work management processes for our wind, solar and battery storage facilities to ensure a successful start of self-performing O&M services at new plants that LRE is adding to its portfolio. The candidate must have the ability to work collaboratively with plant administrators to ensure consistency and adherence to new procedures across our entire portfolio. The preferred location is the Dallas, Texas office. Key Responsibilities
Maximo Optimization and Strategy Development

Act as a Maximo super user and subject matter expert, implementing and expanding the platform’s capabilities to their fullest across all O&M workflows.

Evaluate, select, and integrate new Maximo modules or mobile applications that enhance field operations and streamline the operations workload.

Develop and lead a cohesive strategy for Maximo utilization, creating best-in-class processes that embed efficiency and reliability.

Oversee the deployment of mobile and digital tools that seamlessly integrate with Maximo, enabling real-time data access and entry to optimize fieldwork.

Lead efforts to identify future needs and deploy scalable, interoperable solutions within Maximo to support growth, ensure adaptability, and eliminate workflow silos.

Collaborate with IT and vendor partners to ensure the sustainability and scalability of Maximo tools, actively steering the organization toward a standardized, efficient Maximo ecosystem.
Process and Workflow Improvement

Assess current Maximo and operational workflows to identify inefficiencies, recommending and implementing changes to maximize uptime, reliability, and productivity.

Drive end-to-end process improvements across self-perform and contracted sites, collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine Maximo-enabled workflows.

Apply expertise in renewable energy O&M to develop streamlined, scalable processes for parts management, work order execution, and data entry.

Introduce AI-driven automation to improve decision-making, reduce operations workloads, and ensure more efficient resource utilization.
Continuous Improvement and Change Management

Lead continuous improvement initiatives that support a scalable, flexible O&M framework, ensuring it aligns with evolving business needs and technological advances.

Lead a team of field admins, providing direction, guidance, and training to ensure consistent Maximo practices and optimal use across all sites.

Mentor admins in advanced Maximo applications, cultivating a network of skilled users who actively contribute to improved workflow efficiency.

Communicate changes effectively to stakeholders, providing training and resources to ensure smooth transitions and sustained improvements in efficiency.
Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Computer Science, Business Management, Operations Management or a related field.

Experience: minimum 5 years’ experience with Maximo, SAP, or other enterprise asset management (EAM) software in power generation O&M with 3+ years of process optimization in the context of renewable operations

Technical Expertise: demonstrated implementation of Maximo modules, mobile platforms, and integration capabilities; familiarity with AI tools and automation techniques to support operational efficiencies is preferred.

Analytical Ability: strong problem-solving skills and experience in data-driven decision-making for workflow and performance improvement.

Change Management: Track record of leading successful change initiatives and continuous improvement projects in O&M contexts.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Certification in Maximo, Six Sigma, Lean Management, or other related methodologies.

Familiarity with industry standards and compliance frameworks (OSHA, ISO) for operational safety and excellence and performance in renewable energy plants.
