About this Position
Primerica is looking for a Business Architect to lead & work with big picture view and comprehensive understanding of organizations value streams across lines of business. The Business Architect will focus on building foundational frameworks of business architecture knowledge based including capabilities, value streams. end-to-end business/ IT processes, also involves assessing and resolving technical debt, refining roadmaps for enterprise efficiency, sunsetting legacy tech, integrating siloed systems into an enterprise platform. Able to mentor Other BA's. Requires expert level knowledge on business methods, processes, requirements, and standards communicate with Business Leaders, Enterprise Architects and multiple stakeholders including Program Managers, Development Leaders, and Legal & Compliance.

Salary Range: $120K - $140K
This is a hybrid position that currently requires working onsite in the Duluth, Georgia office 3 days and remotely 2 days each week.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Responsibilities:
- Define and document the value stream and business capabilities and ensure that projects align to enable these capabilities and business value realization.
- Provide expertise and advice about how business capabilities interact with technical capabilities to achieve the goals of the program.
- Engage, collaborate, and partner with business leaders across multiple business functions to understand strategic goals and objectives, drive value realization, turning ideas into business case, and maintain alignment within and among Business units.
- Explain complex business and technology issues to non-experts in both areas – bridging the gap between business and technology expertise.
- Define, deliver, and manage requisite Business Architecture models, i.e., covering Capabilities, Goals, Strategies, Value Streams, Processes, etc.
- Create process, data, logical, physical, and conceptual diagrams to map current state integrations of those applications
- Perform current state assessment to identify people, process, technology, and information gaps, as well as resolve identified flow gaps.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, to translate business strategies into practical solutions and advise how the proposed solutions will help achieve overall business goal.
- Work with Application specific SMEs to understand and document upstream and downstream architectural flows and refine the overall design approach.
- Drive the development of the technical and functional requirements documentation, including BRDs, process flows, DACIs, wireframes and any other assets/artifacts used to collect, document, and communicate business needs.
- Works closely with the Design team to ensure final UI is in adherence to the documented business, legal, and compliance requirements
- Represent the team in all enterprise project meetings, and own/drive the enhancement roadmap with our IT teams
- Work with user groups and departments, including Legal and Compliance, to obtain input and approval on all materials as appropriate.
- Communicates effectively at all levels of the organization, tailoring communications appropriately
- Partners and works well with working teams, comprised of architects, analysts, designers, to align on strategic solutions
- Assists in, and takes ownership for Maintenance of architecture documents and maturing the practice.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience working as a Business Architect and understanding of Enterprise Architecture (conceptual, logical, physical.)
- 5+ years of experience interpreting business strategy in terms of business processes and capabilities.
- 4+ years of experience in a Sr Tech Manager position for Advisory, Cloud Strategy, or Transformation initiatives (business, process, systems, complex cross-functional projects, etc.)
- 3+ years’ experience in business process management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Business Architecture Certification
- Cloud Solutions Architecture Certification (any provider/level)
- Business Analyst Experience, preferred
- Agile framework (Scrum and/or Kanban), preferred
- Project/Product Management Experience preferred
- Cloud Solutions Architecture Certification (any provider/level)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficient in models, value streams, capability maps, strategic roadmaps, journey maps, and technology landscapes.
- Experience in developing Business Architecture Framework
- Understanding of Enterprise Architecture Framework (Zachman, TOGAF)
- Experience with Pega, DocuSign, Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence, Visio, etc. a plus
- Dependency Mapping and Data Capability experience including SQL and Dashboards.
- Ability to facilitate large meeting with Business Leaders and SME’s
- Ability to coach or mentor others as experience and necessity requires.
