Business Analyst

Summary:

Group 1001 is seeking an experienced Business Analyst who will provide in depth reviews of annuity processing systems, and report issues.  The role also entails testing of the User Interface, Database, and Downstream Feeds. Reporting to the Lead Analyst, you will be a part of a growing and evolving organization working to help individuals and communities thrive!

Primary Job Duties:

  • Execute queries on annuity processing systems and analyze data on policies.
  • Review Fixed Indexed Annuity annual statements and reallocation processing for known data issues.
  • Provide detailed reports on data issues to developers, actuaries, and contract administration managers.
  • Support production problem resolution and testing
  • Works closely with software development team to assist in validating data fixes and code deployments.
  • Provide UAT testing support.
  • Understand and update processing workflows both automatically and manually override.
  • Provide tax support for reporting tax data for 1099 and 5498 forms.   

Qualifications:

  • Experience in working with and understanding Multi-Year Guaranteed Annuity, Fixed Indexed Annuity and Immediate Annuity policies.
  • Minimum experience of 5 years in a business analyst or other related analyst role with Life and Annuity processing systems.  
  • Experience with calculating tax data for FIAs and MYGA policies and analyzing tax form data on 1099-R, 1099-INT, 1099-NEC, 5498 forms.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with compliance and regulatory guidelines for annuities.
  • Strong math, data analytic and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as information systems, computer science, business, finance, or accounting required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 

Work Location:

This is a Hybrid position.  We are preferably seeking candidates willing to commute to our Zionsville, IN, office located at 10555 Group 1001 Way on a regular basis.  However, the position may be filled by a fully remote candidate. 

Compensation:  

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $80,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $105,000/year in our highest geographic market.  Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
